Hi, I am Aditya Rane
Hi, thanks for visiting.
With this blog, I have decided to pre-empt digital space for my moniker even before I have my breakout moment!
For my 9 to 9, I primarily work in venture capital. Previous roles include experiences such as investment banking at JPMorgan (yup, them 80-hr weeks in Tokyo and Mumbai!) and early-stage startup operator roles in product, strategy and ops and investment roles. Key among them – I was the first employee for a16z (Andreessen Horowitz) in India, first employee for an NBFC led by former Citibank India heads and was early employee at Covered by SAGE, an Insight Partners funded startup
I studied in France, worked and studied (briefly) in Japan and grew up in India.
Beyond an attempted display of my highlight showreel, I decided to create this website as I had too many disparate writing blogs and this helps me consolidate all of them. Also, there are too many Aditya Ranes in this world (as I often quote it is the equivalent of the name ‘John Smith’ in India) – so I needed to create this website before somebody else beats my career trajectory and blocks this domain 😀
It will have all my passions – finance, startups and humanities segregated. Also, most of my writings about them.
